3 Things That Make Traveling with Kids Insanely Easy

Traveling with a baby? Then listen up!

Summer is winding down, so now is the time for those final summer vacations and road trips. As a mom of two, the idea of traveling as a family is both frightful and delightful. Sharing new experiences and places with the kids is always magical, but germ-filled airports, overstuffed diaper bags, and road trip meltdowns are never fun, ever!

We’ve done our fair share of traveling this summer and I’ve had the opportunity, thanks to the lovely folks at Project Nursery, to test out a few items that I know will make your travels with children a billion times easier.

#1

Problem: Schlepping a 20+ lb diaper bag around is a pain in the neck (literally).
Solution: Andi 3-in-1 Stroller Organizer

I have a love-hate relationship with my diaper bag, and unfortunately, the hate part is at its highest when we’re traveling. Not only is it ridiculously heavy but it’s hard to find what I need when I need it. That is why I LOVE the Andi 3-in-1 Stroller Organizer; it’s ideal for traveling, outdoor adventures and quick errands. I especially love it for those times when I don’t want to bring the entire diaper bag with me. Instead, I just grab a few diapers, wipes, a bottle, and a few other essentials, then pack them into the organizer. I secure the organizer to my stroller, and voila, I’ve got a mini catch-all for all my baby’s items, and I can leave the bulky diaper bag in the car. Not strolling? This bag can be thrown over your shoulder like a handbag and easily lend its organizing abilities to a tote. Believe me when I tell you this thing is a godsend!

Problem: Carrying my baby into a germ-laden airport or crowded grocery store induces a panic attack.
Solution: Milk Snob Cover

I’m your average germaphobe mom, so the idea of taking my baby into airports or crowded grocery stores is tough for me. Obviously, I don’t let this stop us from going places, but it does heighten my anxiety. Fortunately, I can breathe a little easier with the help of the Milk Snob Cover. This clever (and cute) 3-in-1 cover works as a baby carrier cover, nursing cover, and grocery cart cover! Can I get an amen for the versatile, breathable, super soft cover that truly does it all?

Problem: We need to bring our highchair on vacation, but it’s too big.
Solution: BabyBjörn High Chair

Ok, hear me out. I know this high chair isn’t exactly the most economical choice, but I PROMISE it’s worth every single penny. Not only is this a wonderfully designed high chair and absolutely fantastic for everyday use, it’s also a gem when it comes to travel. It’s only 25 cm wide when folded up, light as a feather, and has smooth surfaces to prevent food from getting stuck. We took this high chair with us on our most recent family road trip, and we were so thankful to have it during meal times at our Airbnb. Plus, the BabyBjörn High Chair fit quite easily into our car, which is a marvelous feat considering we already had two pack-and-plays, five suitcases, one play mat, a billion board games and a cooler full of food in the trunk.

With the help of these three travel must-haves, you can spend more time enjoying yourself, which is sort of the whole point of going on vacation.

Happy Travels 🙂
