Heading to college marks a period of new beginnings, exciting transitions, and tons of changes. It is a time where you get to experience new things and grow into the well-rounded individual you’re sure to become. While it is indeed an exciting time, many of us are still a little anxious to leave the nest. Of course there’s the stress of leaving your family and making new friends, but you’ve also got to be sure you’ve pack everything you need and there are a few essentially you really need to know about!

So, as the pilgrimage back to college campus begins, many of you are heading back for your sophomore, junior, and even senior year, while some of you are packing your bags for the very first time (aww).

A huge part of being back on campus and getting settled back into school living is making sure I have the beauty basics, everything I need to feel and look my best. It can be tough to narrow down the right beauty products, not to mention finding ones that are portable enough to stow in our totes, shoulder bags, and backpacks.

This is why I’ve headed over to Walmart to get the goods… in terms of back-to-school beauty must-haves that is. So whether you’re a seasoned campus vet or a collegiate rookie, listen closely because you can never be over prepared; take it from me, I’m already three years in!

Thus why I’ve created my list of:

Top 4 Beauty Essentials for College Campus Life

#1. Schick® Disposable Hydro Silk® Razor

thetop4beautyessentialyoucantforgettopack3Alright ladies, I can’t even begin to emphasize enough how important this particular disposable razor is and that’s why I had to put it as the #1 top priority on our beauty essential checklist, especially when you are going to school where it’s warm all year round and dresses and shorts are your 24/7 wardrobe. With the Schick® Disposable Hydro Silk® Razor you will notice that it hydrates longer than any other razor which is crucial when you’re in college and on a limited budget to spend on pricey creams and lotions.

This uniquely designed disposable razor goes beyond an incredibly close shave to actually care for your skin even in the toughest of weather, from dry blistering winters through those hot sweltering summers. With water-activated moisturizing serum and five curve-sensing blades with skin guards to help protect skin from irritation, the Schick® Disposable Hydro Silk® Razor leaves skin feeling like the very definition of silky smooth!

#2. Maybelline New York Baby Lips® Moisturizing Lip Balm

thetop4beautyessentialyoucantforgettopack4Next up we have another item that you aren’t going to want to leave your dormroom without! Why you ask?

Well, to start this lip balm provides eight-hour moisture and guarantees lip renewal (I prefer the “pink punch” hue).

This Baby Lips® balm is clinically proven to make lips 82% visibly less dry, 94% less rough, 77% more supple and 77% better looking after just four weeks of use! Now tell me how you can live without that because I sure can’t! This is the best multi-season balm I’ve used because it offers the perfect level of moisture during dry winter months but it has SPF 20 to help protect your lips from the summer sun as well!

#3. Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub

thetop4beautyessentialyoucantforgettopack5Now that you’re in college it’s time to start taking care of yourself and in specific your skin. College can be a rough time on the complexion, fortunately there’s a product that can help! When using Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub you will be doing yourself a huge favor and avoiding embarrassing breakouts, which is why this delicious smelling product is number 3 on my list!

This cleansing foaming scrub helps prevent breakouts and blackheads while eliminating oil and dirt without over-frying skin.

It’s such a dermatological pick-me-up, that you will forget it’s a powerful acne cleanser as well. Say so-long to your acne once you start using this powerful little skincare weapon!

#4. Not Your Mother’s® Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo

thetop4beautyessentialyoucantforgettopack6Crazy hair is something every college girl must contend with, but thankfully the battle just got a whole lot easier with this magical spray! This is another one of my beauty favorites because it helps you get that perfect hairstyle even if you’ve been up all night the night before.

Expect more room on your social calendar because this salon formula dry shampoo will have you and your hair ready for a night out on the town or an early morning class ASAP.

Dry shampoo is a gift to the world of hair, especially for women who have hair that gets greasy quickly and it’s one of my favorites primarily because it’s a crazy-good timesaver! This product absorbs excess oils, cleans without water and has a light matte finish… umm, yes please!

So now that you have your campus checklist for beauty essentials you’re going to want to head to your local Walmart and snag these must-haves… you’ll be thankful you did!

This basket of goodies has all your back-to-school beauty must-haves for a flawless look this year!

No one likes prepping for the day with their dull razor, while covering that horrid blemish, and taming unwashed greasy hair. I spent the first year of college sorting out little logistical kinks like these so you don’t have to, just fetch the items on this list and you’ll save yourself (and probably a few girlfriends) a whole lot of headaches over the course of the school year.

I promise you can never be over prepared for college but this list might just help you get closer to getting to campus in style 😉
