More Russian Border Service Quietly Installed

Bella Breakdown

More uproar has sparked between Russia and Georgia. In June of 2017, the Russian border service installed quietly nine new border signs to go along with the 230 that already exist in the Georgian territory of South Ossetia. And as you can imagine for many expecially families the move sparked a massive protest as Georgians see it as a threat for obvious reasons. However, for the Russians it is a tactic that they often use for control over territory.

This border really is only considered to exist by three nations as of 2008. It’s hard and a major issue because Russia is putting these borders where ever they think their territory is and many people are losing access to their own land. Georgians really think this is illegal and the locals in the last year have lost not only land, but kids in certain areas can’t go to school and people can’t visit their own families.

They are scared that eventually they will be totally controlled and in the meantime, they will keep being separated from their families and continue to lose land. For more details be sure to check out the video above.
