There are certain foods that pack a nutritional punch and we call them superfoods. We all know that superfoods are a great way to jam in essential vitamins and nutrients, however, eating them isn’t always convenient and sometimes it can be down right complicated.

Well, fear not health lovers because we’ve got the scoop on some easy to eat superfoods that taste just as good as they are for you.

Quinoa

These little guys pack a protein punch and they’re gluten free, yay! Just cook them as you would any grain product like rice or barley and enjoy.

 

Hemp Seeds

Once again, these little “seeds” are a great source of protein and they’re also high in omega-3-fatty acids. Hemp seeds are best eaten when sprinkled onto cereals, yogurt, and oatmeal or blended into shakes and smoothies.

 

Kale

This leafy green superfood is fantastic not only because of it’s healthy properties but also because it’s super easy to work with. Try putting Kale in soups, stir fry, or even bake them into chips for a quick snack…yum!

Chia seeds are high in omega-3-fats and fiber making them great from both brain and digestive health. You can use these seeds in many ways. For example, sprinkle them onto yogurt, blend them into smoothies or soak them in milk and other flavorings for a tasty healthy pudding.

A foodie favorite, fermented foods are full of healthy bacteria which can improve and balance the microflora in your gut. How you eat them is up to you. You can go Korean and opt for Kimchi for example, which tastes great with just about anything.

Aside from the traditional sushi method of eating seaweed, you can buy seaweed sheets (aka nori) and crumble them over salad or nosh on them straight out of the package.
