Today, the amount of makeup products there are to use can be totally daunting. There are makeup products I’m sure I have never heard of. When I watch a makeup tutorial online, I’m floored by all of the additional things these beauty bloggers use.
I am a minimalist at heart, however I do like to wear makeup. It is important to me to combine the two, because I’m not the type of person who can handle having too many products to sift through.
The first place to start with rocking a minimalist makeup look is to take care of your skin. This should be the case for everyone, but if you don’t like to wear much face makeup, you’ll want to take care of your natural skin.
Be sure to clean it daily, and apply a retinol-based moisturizer to keep your skin looking glowing, young, and blemish free.
The next step is to use neutral tones that compliment your skin. Use pinks and whites on your eyes to keep you looking bright and awake. Highlight your eyes with mascara, if you have a good one you can actually stay away from using any eyeliner.
This way you can avoid messing up liner that can maybe cause your eyes to look dark. Using nudes or browns on your lips, or even just a sheer gloss are sure to make you look beautiful without having to get too crazy.
