The 4th of July is over, but you still have tons of hot dog buns leftover with no hot dogs to eat with them. Luckily, we have some ideas of ways you can reuse those buns that may have you buying buns for things other than hot dogs.

For a different kind of breakfast, try making an ultimate brunch dog. Simply swap a hot dog for a chicken apple sausage, and then wrap it in bacon. Add some hash browns and cheese, and top it off with a fried egg. And for those of you who think no brunch is complete without something sweet, then try turning the buns into french toast first.

Making a cheesy garlic bread panini would also be a good and delicious way to use your leftover buns. Hot dog buns are perfect to use for garlic bread because they’re so absorbent. Just slather them with butter, garlic, and cheese to make some cheesy garlic bread. You can then take it to the next level by pairing two garlic bread halves, adding more cheese, then dipping them in tomato soup or marinara sauce.
