Marvel’s ‘Captain Marvel’ continues to do wonders at the box office since it’s March release. With ‘Avengers: Endgame’ making its big debut this weekend it seems the Brie Larson-led film is trying to get all of the revenue it can and the plans is working because it is now in the top 25 of highest grossing films in history.

Thanks to $15.6 million in global profits earned this past weekend, ‘Captain Marvel’ has now passed DC Comics’ ‘The Dark Knight’ which has been bumped down to number 26. Though the latest MCU film is number 25 of all time, it is Marvel’s seventh highest grossing film right after ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Black Panther,’ which is number one.

The latest superhero flick’s gross isn’t that surprising seeing as how it earned over $150 million during opening weekend and earned the title of top grossing film of 2019 in three days. This sets the film up for even bigger and better expectations for a sequel which will surely be in the cards for Larson and the rest of the cast in the future. With a ‘Wonder Woman’ sequel also soon to be released there is also hope that the DC film to do just as well as their Marvel competition.
