Cher And Meryl Streep Save The Day

During an interview with Cher on The Late Late Show with James Corden, she shares a story of her and actress Meryl Streep when they saved a woman in the 1980s.

Cher explains while leaving Streep’s apartment building in New York, when they discovered a man attacking a woman and ripping her clothes off. Once the man saw Cher and Streep he stopped attacking his victim and ran off.

Once the woman collected her composure she gushed, “I was saved by Meryl Streep and Cher, all my friends are going to be so jealous.” Though being attacked she was thankful to be saved by the two stars.

This inspiring story shows the long friendship with Streep and Cher, including their collaboration for the second installment of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again that is now playing in theaters.
