Coconut Macaroons in 1 Minute!

There is just nothing like the taste of a freshly baked, homemade macaroon. So tie on your most elegant apron, spend a few minutes in the kitchen this afternoon and prepare to be worshiped by whoever you decide to share your macaroons with.

All you’ll need to whip up a batch is:

  • 7 oz. unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 7 oz. shredded sweetened coconut
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3 tbsp. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt

Start by spreading your coconut flakes onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 7 minutes in an oven preheated to 350 degrees. This will really bring out a deeper toasted coconut flavor.

Add two egg whites, a can of sweetened condensed milk, one tablespoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Then add your seven ounces of toasted coconut flakes and seven ounces of shredded sweetened coconut. The two types of coconut combine to make these macaroons unmatched.

Give everything a good stir and then scoop small mounds onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown and smelling sinfully good.

Allow to cool and enjoy your freshly baked macaroons, perhaps with French jazz playing softly in the background.
