Ditch the Bed Head

Bella Breakdown

Have you gone to sleep with a silky mane of perfect hair, and woken up to find it looks as though it’s been a temporary home for a family of squirrels? Yeah, that’s pretty much me every time I wake up. Now, I’m not sure about you, but my hair tangles extremely easily.

So, where I was able to run my hands through it the night before, in the morning I’m brushing out tangles that make my eyes water. There are a few ways, however, that help to preserve your hair overnight, so you can at least wake up with the appearance you have your life together. Even though we know you don’t.

1. Use a silk pillowcase
This helps to keep your hair soft, and actually helps stave off face wrinkles.

2. Use a headscarf
Wrapping your hair in a headscarf keeps your hair from moving around as much as you do, which prevents tangles.

3. Use an overnight, leave-in conditioner
This is going to keep your hair looking silky smooth, and will make it super easy to brush out morning tangles.

4. If you have long hair, braid it
Braiding it will help to keep your hair in place, and is much better than a bun or ponytail, as it prevents breakage.
