DIY Stop Distressed Jeans from Ripping Even More

Bella Breakdown

So we love the distressed jean look, the only downside is that once they start ripping, they rip even more, until eventually the whole pant is a hole. While we love showing a bit of leg, sometimes we want our cute perfectly-distressed-at-the-knee pair of jeans to stay that way.

All you need to keep that denim in check is:

  • Iron-on Patches
  • Straightening Iron
  • Scissors

Since jeans rip from side to side, you only need to focus on reinforcing the left and right sides of the hole.

Start by turning your jeans inside out and warming up one of your least favorite flattening irons. Cut a small piece of the iron on patch that fits on the side of the rip.

Hold the patch in place and carefully use your straight iron to adhere it to the jeans. Repeat on both sides of the hole and on each leg. You’re good to go!

Stretch, skip and kick as mutch as you want, that rip isn’t gettin’ any wider with this.
