All you’ll need to whip up a batch is:

•4 egg whites
•1 tsp. salt
•1/2 c. condensed milk
•1 tsp. vanilla
•14 oz coconut
•toasted almond slices
•1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Start by separating four eggs and put the egg whites in a mixer, add a teaspoon of salt and whip on high.

Next, add a teaspoon of vanilla to half a cup of condensed milk and combine. Fold in the coconut and toasted almonds until nice and mixed.

Once the egg whites have stiff peaks, fold into the coconut mixture. Scoop tablespoon amounts of your batter onto a making sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. No almond joy is complete without chocolate.

Melt a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips over a double-boiler and dip your cooled macaroons in completely coating the bottom. Set on parchment paper and with a fork and then drizzle the remaining melted chocolate.

Enjoy!
