Jason Momoa caused his fans to become distraught on Thursday when the actor shaved his beard for the first time in seven years. Known for his rugged looks, the ‘Aquaman’ star uploaded a YouTube video explaining just why he decided to say goodbye to one of his most popular features.
“I just want to do this to bring awareness that plastics are killing our planet,” he told the camera and many women surely heartbroken by the look. “There’s only one thing that can really help our planet and save our planet as long as we are recycling, and that’s aluminum.”
To help the initiative to save the planet, the actor plans on releasing his own brand of water that will be packaged in an aluminum can. Sadly, Momoa’s message has fallen on deaf ears since his female fanbase is too busy mourning the loss of his facial hair.
“Jason Momoa shaved his beard off and I don’t know what to do with myself,” one user tweeted. Seeing as how the actor hadn’t used a razor since 2012 he did manage to have some fun by saying goodbye to a few of his well-known characters. “Goodbye, Drogo! Goodbye, Arthur Curry,” he yelled referencing his roles in ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Aquaman.’
