Bella Breakdown

So, I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but comedian Dane Cook is dating a 19 year old. Now, we’re not sure if she is dating him because he’s a comedian, or because she’s too young to have heard any of his comedy. I’m also wondering if Kelsi (that’s right, Kelsi with an “i” in case you want to feel really old) knows that Dane is 47. That’s a 26 year age gap, everybody. 26! Years! That isn’t a Freshman/Senior relationship, it’s a fresh blood/senior citizen relationship. Maybe I’m being bias, but I personally think it’s a bit creepy. However, Hollywood has seen its fair share of romantic relationships with significant age gaps.

Is it true that age is really just a number? It’s not how old we are it’s how old we feel? I guess for a lot of people this is true. But I can’t help but feel as though you’re going to run into some major differences. Dane and Kelsi have an entire generation in between them. There are a lot of references that neither of them are going to understand. Unless somehow Kelsi is the world’s most mature 19 year old, and Dane is the world’s hippest 47 year old, they’re going to run across some disconnects.

Who am I to judge though? People are allowed to be happy with whomever they want, as long as it’s… legal. It’s kind of gross that that’s the criteria that makes this okay though.
