Kate Spade’s Heritage Accessories Line Is Getting An Exciting New Ambassador

Bella Breakdown

Although Kate Spade has passed, her legacy lives on in so many different ways. The brand is as strong as ever, and so is the accessories line named after her daughter, Frances Beatrix. The line called “Frances Valentine” will continue to operate and thrive, and we couldn’t think of a better new face for the brand than Rachel Brosnahan, Spade’s own niece.

If you think you may recognize Rachel Brosnahan, you just might since she is the star of the hit Amazon Prime series ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.’

“We have so much of Katy’s voice here already,” Frances Valentine CEO and partner Elyce Arons, told The Cut. “And Andy is still very involved in all the design and will continue to be. We’ll miss her enormously, of course, but our plan is to do everything we can to make the business the greatest we can. I think that would make her happy. That is our goal.”

The Frances Valentine line features some of the signature Kate Spade quirks, bright colors, fun accents and exceptional quality.

“The bags are just stunning. They’re bright. They’re colorful and beautiful shapes,” Rachel Brosnahan said. “I know Kate always talked about being inspired by my grandmother June — her mother — ripping things straight out of her closet. So I feel like that’s where it still lives on as well.”

And with a name like Frances Valentine, a bag that celebrates the Kate Spade legacy would make a perfect Valentine’s Day gift, don’t you think?
