You may have noticed #WorldKindnessDay trending on social media today and celebrating kindness should be every day. For a special World Kindness Day, the Born This Way Foundation is celebrating with Starbucks to bring acts of kindness to local communities.

Select Starbucks locations will be hosting activities in partnership with the Born This Way Foundation to bring acts of kindness to local communities. Here are the locations that you can visit to spread kindness:

Chicago, Illinois (1003 N Rush St, Chicago, IL 60611)
From 10 am to 2 pm you can visit your local coffee shop to write heartfelt notes to the senior citizens and young people for the Center on Halsted, which is a community center for helping the LGBTQ+ community that helps secure well-being and health to their local community.

Las Vegas, Nevada (8975 S. Eastern Avenue #A, Las Vegas, NV 89123)
Fun activities that help promote kindness in their community.

Los Angeles, California (7624 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90046)
From 10 pm to 1 pm you can go write notes of thanks and encouragement for the brave firefighters who are battling California wildfires.

New York City, New York (424 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10016)
From 1 pm to 5 pm, there will be a letter-writing activity for the LGBTQ+ community experiencing homelessness to spread messages of acceptance and love.

Seattle, Washington (1600 E Olive Way, Seattle, WA 98102)
Starting from 3 pm until 6 pm you can go and support YouthCare that is an organization working to end youth homelessness.

Walnut Creek, California (1601 Mount Diablo, Walnut Creek, CA 94596)
From 12 pm – 3 pm you can write a note of gratitude and support for the firefighters working endlessly to fight the California wildfires.

If you’re not near any of these locations you can help spread the message of kindness and love on social media. You can also learn a couple of simple acts of kindness that you can practice every day such as sharing a smile with a stranger, holding the door for someone, or simply asking someone how they’re doing. You can also help by donating to the Born This Way Foundation.

It’s nice to devote a day to kindness, but it would be even nicer if we could spread more acts of kindness through what we do every day.
