For Hunger Games fans that still aren’t over the end of the film franchise may love this news. After wrapping up the dystopian film in 2015, Lionsgate is eyeing a prequel to the trilogy.

Author Suzanne Collins is reportedly working on a new book in the Hunger Games series set for release in May 2020. A book release that Lionsgate is already making movie plans for.

“As the proud home of the Hunger Games movies, we can hardly wait for Suzanne’s next book to be published. We’ve been communicating with her during the writing process and we look forward to continuing to work closely with her on the movie,” said Joe Drake, chairman of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group.

The prequel will be set 64 years before the start of the original Hunger Games novel series and timed for the reaping of the Tenth Hunger Games. Collins’ upcoming novel is good news for both fans and Lionsgate who has reportedly been pressured by investors to produce new blockbuster movie franchises beyond the Hunger Games and Twilight box office phenomenons to keep drawing young audiences.

First released in 2012, Hunger Games went on to earn $3 billion worldwide at the box office. The franchise starred Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
