Step 1: Right before going to bed, pour one cup of uncooked Irish oatmeal into a saucepan and cover with four cups of cold water.

Step 2: Cover the sauce pan with a lid and leave the oatmeal to soak overnight.

Step 3: In the morning, simply cook the oatmeal uncovered over low heat for 7-10 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

Step 4: Serve the hot oatmeal with berries, brown sugar, and a splash of skim milk.
