Match Your Lipstick To Your Shoes? MAC And Puma Say Yes!

Bella Breakdown

Where sneakers used to be simply gym wear, over the years, they have become a fashion statement. All of the top designers have come up with a collection of trendy kicks. Now the MAC makeup company is getting in on the action. A collaboration between Puma and MAC Cosmetics will have people matching from head to toe! Matching your shoes to your purse is a lady-like tradition that is straight out of the 50’s, but one mega makeup brand and a shoe giant are taking a new approach to making sure you match from head to toe.

Fashion sneaker brand Puma is taking their inspiration from the vibrant hues of MAC Cosmetics, collaboration in a limited edition line of its Suede Design shoes that will hit shelves in May. Straight from the makeup counter, the Puma lace-ups will be created in some of MAC’s most popular lipstick shades –  Crème d’Nude (a peach-ish beige), Lady Danger (a coral red) and Sin (burgundy). Just because the lipstick and the shoes go together, doesn’t mean they will be sold together. MAC will stick to selling makeup and Puma will sell the colorful shoes. The shoes also feature the M.A.C Cosmetics logo on the tongue. Each pair will retail for $90, while each lipstick is M.A.C’s standard $19. The shoes will be available on puma.com and in select stores beginning in May. The lipsticks, which are part of M.A.C’s permanent shade range, are available now on maccosmetics.com. Buzz60’s TC Newman has the colorful details.
