Millennials always get a weird reputation for not doing things they way the generations before them did. Isn’t that the point of being a different generation though? For some reason, millennials are painted as lazy, and interested in trivial things. So what, we like Kombucha? We are also the least lazy generation.
There has been the idea that Millennials are the generation that is not buying houses, when in fact Millennials are one of the biggest groups of home buyers today. We are just buying homes at different points in our lives, and for different reasons. We are changing the market because we are buying homes not for the sake of living in them for the long hall, but so we can own property and rent out the homes. We are buying homes to turn into yet another “side hustle”.
Millennials feel as though they do not need to be married or have children to purchase a home. We aren’t here to follow norms, because I think we understand that those norms have not been working for the past generations. We are the generations that want it all, and we will find a way to get it! So if you see a sold sign, it’s probably because a Millennial just bought that home… or sold it.
