Actress Millie Bobby Brown has decided to delete her Twitter account after others posted homophobic memes on her account page in the comments.
The ‘Stranger Things’ star deleted her verified Twitter account, @milliebbrown, after others posted photos of the actress with anti-gay slurs to discredit her as a homophobe. This incident also resurfaced a trending hashtag #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown that went viral last November.
These photos are also damaging as this coincides with the beginning of Pride Month, though Brown is know to be a supporter of the LGBTQA community and an anti-bullying advocate. The young actress is also making her feature film debut in the 2019 film re-make of “Godzilla.”
As the youngest person to ever be featured on TIME’s list of 100 most influential people in the world, many followers see that she is not the one posting these harmful images. Check out the video above for more on Millie Bobby Brown.
