I don’t know about you, but I tend to be an awful packer whenever I have to travel anywhere. If I leave for 3 days, I’m packing for almost two weeks. If I have to go somewhere for a month, I seem to never have enough!
Everytime I have to pack or re-pack I end up jamming stuff into my suitcase until it’s bursting at the seams. Also, why do I never pack enough underwear? When I’m packing to go somewhere, I don’t even consider purchases I’ll be making while on the trip.
Clearly, my brain space much like my suitcase, is all taken up. Now, I know I can’t be the only one who does the same thing. Haltha Palepu, an expert packer among other things, shows you how to create optimal space in your suitcase. Here are a few tips:
1. Secure bulky clothing like jackets with a hair tie
2. Put heavy items on the bottom, and delicate items on the top
3. Bring underwear for every day you’re on your trip, plus half of those days.
4. Put your shoes in a separate bag, that way they don’t make your clothes dirty.
5. Keep all electrical items organized in their own bag to put in your suit case.
The Northern Lights
Bella Breakdown The Northern Lights are an amazing spectacle of nature. Otherwise known as the Aurora Borealis, these amazing lights can be seen in higher latitude arctic regions such as Alaska and Norway. The best times to see the lights are between September and April. Many people plan their entire vacations around it just to see this unbelievable sight, often opting for a long time Norwegian or Alaskan vacation. The human eye is able to witness the lights, however we are only able to see about two colors of the Aurora Borealis. Typically the naked eye is able to see the green and yellow colors, however if scientific equipment is used, you can witness shades of red, blue, pink, and violet. The Aurora Borealis is caused by gaseous Earth particles colliding with charged particles from the sun. The color is caused by atoms such as nitrogen and oxygen. The...

Bella Breakdown Thinking about moving across the country because of a job, for a family member, or just for a new adventure? These are some of the lessons that others have learned from moving their lives to a new place. East and west coast people and attitudes are very VERY different. You have probably heard about the stereotypes of the areas and frankly, some of them are true. Every place has pros and cons. Fashion standards are also different. For instance, you may want to be aware of the hills in San Fransisco before you wear your stilettos to work. And you may also want to know that in some places it may be 30 degrees in the morning,...

Bella Breakdown Being a celebrity comes with a lot of perks, but it doesn’t always get you a pass to go anywhere you want. These celebrities have been banned from other countries and here is why. Justin Bieber is not longer allowed to visit China. While there were other offenses involved, it is said that he was banned for recklessly skateboarding. Beyonce cannot go to Malaysia. Queen B got banned? And the reason will have you screaming. Her cleavage has gotten her shows cancelled twice in the foreign country and it has been made quite obvious that she is not welcome back. Alec Baldwin has been banned from the Philippines. He made a joke about mail order brides and...
