Planning For Pets Over The Holidays

Bella Breakdown

There is so much to plan for when it comes to the holidays. Whose house are we going to, what should we bring, how are the kids going to handle the drive, flight, etc? Is your mother going to criticize my cooking again? You know, the usual. But have you thought about what you are going to be doing with your pets this holiday season?

If you’ve planned a long, cross-country vacation, it is important to plan for your pets so that everything is taken care of for them ahead of time, and you don’t have to worry about them!

1. If You Are Flying
You do not want to be one of those people claiming their pet is an assistant animal when they’re not. Check your airlines flight policies if you plan to bring your animal with you. Call the airline, and go over their safety rules, how they handle your pets, etc.

2. Boarding
It is important to book a boarding place far in advance if you’re planning on not bringing your pet. Those places book up fast, and you want to make sure they’re staying in a good place.

3. Leaving them Home
Get a trusted friend, family member, or professional to come by your house to take care of your pets. It’s always best to leave a pet who is trustworthy to be left alone for a couple hours at a time. A nanny-cam helps with this plan too.
