Quick and Delicious Tomato Butter Spaghetti Recipe

Delish just blew our minds yet again with a delicious AND EASY recipe for creamy tomato butter spaghetti sauce. With a prep time of only five minutes and a total time of thirty minutes, this is a great dish for a quick weekday dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 lb. fresh tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. Basil Leaves, Torn
  • 8 oz. Cooked spaghetti

Step 1: Start by heating up olive oil in a large skillet with a medium heat, you don’t want to fry anything. Toss in the onions and sauté until the get a little soft; add some salt and pepper for taste. Add in the garlic and cook until you can smell it, somewhere around thirty seconds. Next up are the tomatoes, stir them in and continue to cook with that medium heat until the tomatoes begin to break down.

Step 2 (also the last step): Once everything begins to simmer lower the heat just a tad and stir in your butter. Add some more salt and pepper, and then let it simmer for another fifteen minutes. Pour over cooked pasta; throw some basil leaves on it and BAM (tbt) you’ve got a delish meal that cooked faster than an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
