The saying ‘pics or it didn’t happen’ is pretty much how we live our lives nowadays. Almost everything we do is documented on social media. The creation of the 24 hour story on Instagram and Snapchat has given us more reason to post what we are doing day in and day out. Is that ever really beneficial? It turns out it might be very beneficial to our overall fitness. Posting sweaty selfies, or gym selfies is actually a great way to keep us motivated.
Seeing picture of ourselves getting thinner or more muscular really helps to keep us motivated. Progress pictures can be extremely encouraging to our fitness journeys. Likes and comments from others congratulating us on our project is also really great as well. It’s always nice to hear whenever someone tells you you look good! In a respectful manner of course. You know you don’t mind when you see the little flame emoji on a pic.
Posting pictures of your fitness journey really helps to keep you accountable on the way to your overall fitness goals. It’s also really nice and authentic if you post about when you fall off of the wagon. It is really relatable because it happens to everyone.
Weight Loss Tips From Trainers & Doctors
Bella Breakdown We are always bombarded with fitness images and food tips via the internet that sits in the palms of our hands. You see fitness and diet trends come and go, and it is definitely hard to decide what is actually going to work, and what is just a fad. So who can you actually trust when it comes to losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle? Well your doctor and an actual trainer is a great place to start. So, what do they have to say? 1. Do so first thing in the morning, and it’s suggested to do so without clothes on. The best way to know if you’re losing is actually to measure yourself. 2. Sleep...

Bella Breakdown As much as we workout, sometimes it is difficult to rid of those spots on our body that hold a lot of our fat. Most physicians and nutritionists will tell you that your diet is 80% of your weight loss, while exercise is only 20%. There are a number of foods that you can eat that are still absolutely delicious, but can help you flush away the fat as well. A lot of these foods might even be some of your favorites! 1. Guacamole Yes! Guac is a great food to help flush fat. So don’t feel so guilty when they say “guac is extra”. 2. Oatmeal Oatmeal, specifically organic and steel cut, is packed with whole...
Bella Breakdown If you have found that your only time to work out is in the morning, you might have committed yourself to going to the gym early. But let’s face it, getting up in the morning is really hard, and it is even harder when you add in the fact that you have to exercise and then more than likely go to work. Well, first and foremost, you’ve got to change the attitude. To stop yourself from crying about having to leave your bed in the morning, maybe start with the mindset that you get to workout and go to the gym, and that you’re healthy enough to get a work out in. Other than fixing your mindset,...
Staying Hydrated If you are super active like I am, you know just how important it is to stay hydrated and just how hard it can be. Being very honest, I never typically put a lot of thought into tracking how much water I needed to drink even though I knew I should. I always have workout clothes on, my fitness tracker on my wrist and making sure I nourish my body with healthy food. So why shouldn’t I be paying the same attention to the amount of water I drink? Drinking water has so many key benefits to staying healthy like flushing toxins, improving your complexion, preventing headaches, regulating body temperature, improving heart health, and so much more....

Running and other cardio exercises in general are difficult to begin, because let’s face it you need to be in shape to start. That being said, it is really important that you implement cardiovascular exercises for a number of reasons. 1. Your Heart It is right there in the name, cardio!
