Social Media Keeps Us Fit

Bella Breakdown

The saying ‘pics or it didn’t happen’ is pretty much how we live our lives nowadays. Almost everything we do is documented on social media. The creation of the 24 hour story on Instagram and Snapchat has given us more reason to post what we are doing day in and day out. Is that ever really beneficial? It turns out it might be very beneficial to our overall fitness. Posting sweaty selfies, or gym selfies is actually a great way to keep us motivated.

Seeing picture of ourselves getting thinner or more muscular really helps to keep us motivated. Progress pictures can be extremely encouraging to our fitness journeys. Likes and comments from others congratulating us on our project is also really great as well. It’s always nice to hear whenever someone tells you you look good! In a respectful manner of course. You know you don’t mind when you see the little flame emoji on a pic.

Posting pictures of your fitness journey really helps to keep you accountable on the way to your overall fitness goals. It’s also really nice and authentic if you post about when you fall off of the wagon. It is really relatable because it happens to everyone.
