Spring Project: DIY Herb Garden!

Bella Breakdown

Nothing says spring like fresh herbs growing in the garden. Does your chic little apartment lack outdoor space? Not to worry! This easy DIY will have your green thumb thriving in no time.

All you need to create a taste of spring in your studio with this easy project is:

• herbs
• pebbles
• can
• nail
• hammer

Start by punching holes in the bottom of your can using a nail and a hammer then fill the bottom with your pebbles, this mimics actual soil, creating a porous layer and allows your plant the proper drainage.

Next remove your herb from it’s plastic container and gently massage the roots to break up the soil.

After such a traumatic experience your new little herb plant is going to need some water, be sure to place something under your can to catch the excess. We love using cute vintage saucers for a touch of eclectic elegance.

All that’s left is to water your plant every few days when the soils dry and add a punch of fresh flavor to your meals 😉
