Emmy-winner Sterling K. Brown is taking his critically-acclaimed talents over to another award-winning show, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” for its third season. The “This Is Us” star announced his new role on Monday morning with a video posted to his Twitter account.

“I’m Eastward bound,” the actor announced. “I’m going to do a little TV show, maybe you’ve heard of it: ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.’ The Palladinos were kind enough to write a little something for your boy, and I said yes,” he continued to reveal. No information has been revealed about who Brown will be playing in the series, but the actor has teased that whatever is in store for his character is “going to be awesome.”

Both Brown and the “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” cast have enjoyed success the past few years with the actor snatching up back-to-back Emmy awards for “This Is Us” and “American Crime Story: People v. OJ Simpson.” The Amazon series has also been racking up awards since its debut in 2017. With eight Emmys for the first season and two consecutive Golden Globe wins for star Rachel Brosnahan, Brown’s addition may be a recipe for success for the comedy series.

However, Brown isn’t the only star joining the Amazon Prime series. “Gilmore Girls” star Lauren Graham will also be making an appearance during the third season along with returning guest star Jane Lynch.
