Stop Stressing Thanksgiving Travel

Bella Breakdown

Having to deal with travel on any holiday can be really stressful. However, traveling for Thanksgiving seems to be extra stressful. That’s usually because people aren’t given as much time off for this holiday in particular, and travel time is particularly crunched on Thanksgiving.

However, the stress might all be hype! There are some Thanksgiving travel myths that really seem to bug people, and I’m here to tell you to stop stressing the travel!

1. It’s okay to travel the day before Thanksgiving. It’s just a myth that the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest travel day of the year. That’s not true, it’s actually the Sunday after Thanksgiving that is the most stressful travel day.

2. Don’t doom for a delay. Airlines are prepped for the amount of travelers during the holidays. They are far more ready for holidays than just any old day. So don’t write off a flight just because it’s a holiday. Flights are actually really punctual.

3. Gas prices don’t go up during Thanksgiving. You actually might see them take a dip by one to five cents. So don’t be afraid that driving will be just as expensive as a flight. Drive with a family member to split the already cheaper cost!
