Taylor Swift is basically everyone’s favorite pop star (we’re pretty sure it’s not just us), and this year that status has landed her to be featured on season 17 of The Voice as a Mega Mentor.
It’s no surprise that opportunities like this would arise for Swift, as her seventh album, Lover, was released and was critically acclaimed very quickly. It seems the beloved television show took notice, as this is her second time being on the show (she was previously a Mega Mentor in 2014 during season seven).
The show took to Instagram to share the good news, and we can imagine the pop superstar is excited to work alongside Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson. In the announcement, Legend and Shelton tease the news, pretending not to know who would be joining them this season.
However, as Swift appears from a trailer, the pieces come together. And the news shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to fans who remember watching Swift perform “ME!” on The Voice during the season 16 finale.
