The 2019 Grammy Nominations Are Here

Bella Breakdown

When this year’s Grammy nominations were released, there was some commotion over whether the nominees truly deserved their honors, and whether there were some artists who got snubbed. There were certainly some big names missing from this year’s list, including Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, despite their massive hits. Fans are also shocked that Jay-Z and Beyonce, AKA The Carters, were excluded from the biggest categories. They did get three nominations overall, but Everything is Love was anticipated to make an Album of the Year nomination.

The two artists with the most nominations came from the rap realm. Kendrick Lamar leads with eight nominations and Drake follows closely behind with seven. Brandi Carlile has also come up in the ranks, earning five nominations and winning the spot as the most recognized female artist at the 2019 Grammys.

Here is the complete list of nominees. Are your favorites represented?
