From the author of “Eat, Pray, Love,” Elizabeth Gilbert is back with another book. “City Girls” is an immersive look into the theater world of 1940s New York City, where 19-year-old Vivian Morris is sent to live with her Aunt Peg, the owner of a midtown playhouse. “Inland” by Téa Obreht will tell the two people—Nora, a frontierswoman awaiting the return of her family, and Lurie, an outlaw on a quest across the Western territories—whose lives intersect against the vast frontier during the 1800s.
