The Future Of Groceries

Bella Breakdown

Well, it’s official, I’m moving to Arizona. Not for the weather, obviously, but for the fact that this Arizona, Fry’s Food & Drug has totally stepped into the future. This store is using self driving cars to make autonomous deliveries to customers who order their groceries online. This particular store in Scottsdale, Arizona is the only store in the entire United States that has taken on this kind of feature. However, the deliveries are only for that stores particular area code.

The self-driving car delivers groceries right to your door. The delivery charge is just under six dollars, and it might take up to 4 hours to deliver. If you’re on a busy schedule though, it might be worth it to check out this method. If you’re a Scottsdale resident of course. Some people might get a little freaked out by this method of delivery, which is totally understandable. I think the idea of absolutely no one manning a vehicle is a little sketchy myself.

However, Scottsdale is just the beginning to this futuristic take over that is bound to happen in the United States, so maybe it’s time to embrace this very convenient technology? Or you can just keep grocery shopping yourself. You don’t have to embrace the change right this minute.
