Will Trump Be Impeached?

Bella Breakdown

Rumors of Impeaching Trump have been circulating around the White House for months now. Two-thirds of the House is in full support of moving forward with the impeachment, but there is one large figure standing in their way: Nancy Pelosi.

Pelosi, the most important person to get the ball rolling towards impeaching Trump, is strongly against it. She believes that it should only happen if both parties wholeheartedly agree is worthy of impeachment. In other words, Trump would have to do something really, really bad in order for her to support him being removed from office.

She states, “Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”

In Pelosi’s opinion, if both parties aren’t on board, then the impeachment will most likely fail. Even worse, the decision to impeach could hurt the Democrats in the 2020 election.

Choosing to focus on getting Trump out of office instead of focusing on their own campaign is a mistake politicians have made in the past, and it has led to their demise. I like to compare it to people on The Bachelor who focus on taking down other girls instead of their own relationship with the bachelor. They always end up getting sent home.

Pelosi gets it. She wants Democrats to have the final rose, and she doesn’t believe that the impeachment of Trump would be worth the future loss.
