Winter Date Night Ideas

Bella Breakdown

It can be difficult to come up with fun activities to do with your SO when it’s freezing cold or snowing outside. You’ve been to that same Thai restaurant on the corner ten times this month, and you’ve pretty much memorized the movie selection on Netflix. It’s time to come up with some new ideas to get you and your partner to spend more quality time with each other, and less time on the couch.

Get Movie Pass

Movie theaters all over are offering great rewards programs these days. From movie pass to AMC Stubs A-List, you can see a dozen movies per month for only around $20 each. Winter is the perfect time to join one of these programs, as you’re probably forced inside by the cold. Not to mention, there are some fantastic movies out this season. Join with your SO and plan out all the movies you want to see this month. Bonus points if you bring snacks and a blanket to the theater!

Go Climbing

No, I don’t mean outside. Look for a climbing gym near you to try out with your SO. It’s a great indoor activity that gets you both active and engaged with each other, and having the moral support there to cheer you on as you climb is always great. Get your sweat on and then treat yourselves to your favorite meal after!

Go Camping – Inside!

Outdoor camping is probably not in the cards, but you bring the outdoors in with your own cozy camp night. Pitch a tent in your living room, dim the lights and fill your tent with pillows, blankets and all things cozy. If your apartment or home allows it, try getting a small, portable fire plate to roast your own marshmallows!

Volunteer Together

It’s the perfect time of year to give back, and doing it with a loved one makes it so much more rewarding. Pick a cause you both are passionate about and sign up for a day of volunteering!

Plan a Trip

If you’re dreaming of warmer weather, start planning a trip together for the coming months. Whether it’s a warm winter getaway or a summer vacation, it’s always exciting to think about travel. Spend the day researching, trying foods from that location and reading up on things to do while you’re there.
