Netflix reveals the first look behind the new kids animated series “City of Ghosts” for a documentary-style series featuring animated characters with live-action backgrounds. “City of Ghosts” features Emmy-award winning director of “Adventure Times” Elizabeth Ito.
Ito disclosed that she was inspired to create “City of Ghosts” as a series to be watched by her own family. Ito says that she wanted to create something that she can watch with her kids for a less stimulating animated series compared to other animation series.
“City of Ghosts” is a gentler, quieter show compared to other animated series that teaches the family about diverse people and communities in Los Angeles. Ito hopes that the all kids watching this series can relate with the various characters while representing her kids as intuitive, smart, and funny.
The series will feature six unique episodes and you can watch the Netflix trailer above. The new show will be available on Netflix starting March 5.
