A Farm In the City DIY

Bella Breakdown

Growing and cultivating plants and foods has become extremely popular as of late. It is really cool to be able to grow things like tomatoes, basil, rosemary, sprouts, mint, and much more yourself. You know where your food ingredients are coming from, and you’re not breaking the bank to get the freshest, most organic foods.

Not all of us have backyards to grow things in though. You may live in a busy city, where the only access to the outdoors is a small window ledge. That’s probably not sufficient for your basil. Urban farming has become wildly popular, and totally creative.

People have come up with a number of ways to grow their own food in their homes, with very little access outside. You can grow some of your foods by using your fish tank. That’s right, your little aquarium is the perfect way to sprout some herbs.

Using the “tower garden” is a space-saving way to grow multiple fruits, veggies, and herbs at the same time. You plant your seeds and soil in the tower garden which is sectioned off, and let your plants grow! This method is convenient and also aesthetically pleasing.

This next one might be a bit extreme, but if you have the means, utilizing a freight farm is a great way to grow your own food. It’s a large crate equipped with all of the growing tools necessary to have your own indoor farm.
