Crunchy Chickpea Snack Recipe

Fallen off your new years resolution diet wagon already? Here’s an easy, healthy snack to get you back on track. Start with a can of chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, which are packed full of protein and fiber.

Just rinse them off in a colander and dry either with a salad spinner or some paper towels. The drier they are, the crunchier they become. Add two tablespoons of canola oil, and whatever spices tickle your fancy. For a simple classic just sprinkle on a pinch of salt. You could also go for a more savory flavor by adding garlic powder or smoked paprika.

Just speak them out on a baking sheet and pop in an oven preheated to 425 for about 30 minutes, tossing every five to ten minutes.

You can eat them warm or wait for them to cool for a crunchier texture. AKA the perfect healthy snack on the go. And not only is it extremely inexpensive to make, but it’s a vegetarian dish too! We know you’ll love it.
