Don’t Let Vacation Depression Get You

Bella Breakdown

When we go on vacation, there is a very understandable tendency to never want to leave. Vacations are an escape from the mundane of our daily lives, and if you are the person who can let go of their typical responsibilities with ease, then vacation might be some of the best times of your life. You might also be prone to experiencing the depression that comes along with the days following your vacation. There are some ways to combat the sadness after your vacation has ended, and you are back to reality.

1. Plan your trip for YOU! Decide on activities you’ll want to do while on vacation. That way, when you come back you won’t have any vacation remorse about things you didn’t do.

2. Opt for experiences over going shopping or hotel hanging. Amazing vacation experiences can leave a happiness residue you can’t help but share.

3. After this vacation, plan your next one! Even if it’s extremely far in advance, that way you have something to look forward to.

4. Take your vacation home with you. If there was a drink, or some type of food you had while you were traveling, try recreating it. Or go somewhere that reminds you of the city you visited.
