From handfuls of fan-favorite movies like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Raising Helen, to running a fitness and athleisure brand with a cult following, to even starting her own podcast with her brother Oliver, Kate Hudson’s resume is quite unlike most celebrities’. Her acting ventures, success with Fabletics, and ongoing charitable excursions keep her workdays busy and raising three children occupies her home life.

On top of all of that, Hudson has still found time to move into a new uncharted space—the world of liquor. Largely known as a male-dominated industry, Hudson was ready to take the demands and requests of women into the liquor world to create products that everyone could love.

Gluten-free, distilled seven times, and made with alkaline water, Hudson’s King St. Vodka is the type of holiday cheer you can feel good about drinking. The motivation behind the project was in part intrigued by the lack of women in the industry and partially due to the reality of her life—liquor is almost always involved in the life of Hudson, so why not learn more about the industry and create a product to be proud of?

Partnering with the co-creator of Skinnygirl vodka and Bulldog Gin David Kanbar and finding inspiration in her childhood home on King Street, New York, Hudson gets to be a “female disruptor” in the industry and is proud of the product. She even got behind the bar at the product launch party to make everyone her favorite extra dirty vodka martini. We’ll take two, thanks, Kate!
