Keeping The Kids Busy While Waiting In Line

Bella Breakdown

Keeping the kids entertained in any line is a hassle, no matter whether its a theme park or a picture with Santa Clause. But when your 9-year-old son is dying to go on the three hour wait for the Pandora: Flight of Passage ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, you’re bound to have him complaining every moment until he gets on the ride. Especially with all the new and upcoming attractions about to land at Disney, like Toy Story Land and the 2019 Star Worlds themed park, attraction wait times are about to skyrocket.

Well, Disney has a remedy for this, too. Introducing the Play Disney Parks app. This new mobile application will use the real world around you to immerse your kids in a plethora of games while in line… and everything is Disney themed! For example, players may be asked to find physical items littered across the landscape surrounding the line they are waiting in. Additionally, there will be Disney trivia, playlists, and achievements that the kiddos can earn to keep them busy.

Super popular rides like Toy Story Mania, Space Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Slinky Dog Dash will have mini games themed directly around their specific rides, as those are some of the biggest culprits of overly long lines.

Sometimes, we have to cave in as parents and let the kids get their hands on our smartphones, because it’s better they’re interacting with something in their hands rather than complaining in our ears.
