2013 American Music Awards Highlights

Last night’s American Music Awards had it all, the hottest artists, killer performances…and of course Miley Cyrus singing along side a weeping cat. In terms of the night’s big winners there were two. Justin Timberlake snagged 3 awards for his most recent two part album the 20/20 Experience and Taylor Swift went home with 4 trophies one of which was the night’s top prize of artist of the year.

In terms of fashion music’s hottest stars rocked the red carpet, ladies like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus all showed off stunning red carpet ensembles. While all major wardrobe malfunctions we’re avoided on the red carpet, there was still plenty to talk about, like Lady Gag’s human horse arrival for instance.

The performances included Justin Timberlake, Imagine Dragons, Jennifer Lopez, PitBull, Ke$ha and even TLC with the help of rapper Lil’ Mama. But it was Miley’s instantly viral performance of her smash hit Wreaking Ball along side an intergalactic crying space kitty that got people talking. While Miley nailed the song, her voice was overshadowed by her bizarre choice in background, but we’ll just assume that’s Miley being Miley.
