Will Smith rose to fame after making his acting debut on the family comedy show “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and he will be reuniting with his former castmates on the very set of the Banks mansion of Bel-Air. The reunion will recap the best moments of the show including some behind the scene moments never revealed.

The Banks family will be reuniting for an HBO Max special that will celebrate all the good time and the deep bonds that created the TV family. The whole cast will reunite with one exception of the late actor James Avery who played the patriarch of the Banks family Uncle Phil.

James Avery passed away in 2013 and is dearly missed by the entire cast that attests Avery was the “heart of the show.” Avery played a father figure to everyone in the cast and each member learned so much working with him on the show.

Another familiar face will be appearing at the reunion, Janet Hubert who is known for playing the original role of Aunt Viv but was later replaced after a long feud with Smith during filming. Since the feud between the former cast members, both have reconciled and will reunite with the rest of the Banks family.

Hubert will appear in a separate segment of the reunion that is the first time reunion of Smith and Hubert since the actress left the show in 1993 for their first on-camera appearance in 27 years. Hubert addressed on Instagram that she will not be open to discussing details about the feud but it seems to be a happy reunion with Smith after 27 years.

The trailer of the reunion also revealed some shocking details never revealed before including DJ Jazzy Jeff declined the role of Will’s best friend Jazz multiple times. He explains that Smith attempted to convince him to try acting but he wasn’t interested in trying to act until Smith eventually convinced him to sign on for a role.

The reunion will feature all the original cast members along with some of the best clips from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” that will start streaming on HBO Max starting November 16.
