What to Do When You Can’t Get to the Gym

Sometimes there are days when you just cannot seem to get over to the gym. Whether it’s a busy schedule, or you just don’t want to leave your home, you might still feel as though you want to work out. This could be a great opportunity to switch up your workouts.

1. Get Outside
Take your workout outside. Whether it’s a walk or run, or maybe you move the weights out to the deck or patio, it could be a nice change of pace to move your daily workout outside.

2. Use Your Phone
There are a number of fitness apps that you can use that give you some really awesome digital, personal training. There are apps that map your runs, and your overall progress. There are also apps that allow you to enter your workout routines, and in general keep you motivated and accountable for your work!

3. In-Home Workouts
In-home workouts are not always ideal, but in a time pinch they’re actually really great. If you don’t have weights or equipment, don’t fret. There are a lot of workouts you can do that allow you to use your body weight for strength training. There are a shocking number of online videos that give you tutorials about how to do certain exercises!
