Pumpkin Spice White Hot Chocolate

Everyone loves a warm cup of hot chocolate and this recipe is a new twist on the traditional hot treat. This recipe combines the sweet flavors of white chocolate with a touch of pumpkin spice.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounces White Chocolate (roughly chopped)
  • 6 cups 2% Milk (or whole milk)
  • 1 tbsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 can Pumpkin Puree (15 ounces)
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 ounces)
  • Cinnamon (optional garnish)
  • Whipped Cream (optional garnish)
  • Mini Marshmallows (optional garnish)

Equipment

  • 5-6 Quart Slow Cooker

Method
 

  1. Place the milk, heavy cream, and sweetened condensed milk in the slow cooker.
  2. Whisk the liquid ingredients evenly.
  3. Add the pumpkin pie spice and pumpkin puree continuing to whisk until evenly combined.
  4. On a non-stick cutting board, roughly chop the bar of white chocolate into smaller evenly-sized pieces.
  5. Gradually add the chocolate pieces into the milk mixture while stirring in the slow cooker.
  6. Let the hot chocolate mixture cook for 3 hours on the low setting.
  7. Stir the mixture once every hour until finished cooking.
  8. Serve in a mug and add desired garnishes.
  9. Let white hot chocolate cool and enjoy!

Notes

This deliciously warm treat can be enjoyed with or without garnishes. Another easy option is to create a DIY station with garnishes so everyone can create their own sweet treat.
