Cardi B Announces Split From Husband Offset

It’s been a rough year for Cardi B. Between run ins with the law, spats with fellow celebrities online and now her apparent split from her husband of one year, she’s had a lot going on to say the least. There was a silver lining though. In July, Cardi B and Offset welcomed their baby girl, Kulture Kiari, into the world.

Just a month after giving birth, the couple surprised the world with even more news, revealing that they were in fact already married. The Migos rapper had proposed to her in October of 2017, and they wed in a very private, intimate setting. A short marriage it was, but Cardi B makes it clear that things ended fairly amicably, and that Offset will always be in her life and her daughter’s life.

“We are really good friends and we are really good business partners — you know he’s always somebody that I run to to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”

“It’s nobody fault I guess we just grew out of love, but we are not together anymore. I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father,” Cardi said.

Many fans are shocked, but for others it does not come as a big surprise. In January, Offset was caught in a cheating scandal involving a sex tape – not his first offense. Cardi ultimately decided to stand by her man through that rough period, but we can’t help but wonder if another strike against Offset convinced her to part ways.
