Take A Family Road Trip

Bella Breakdown

Now’s the time to begin planning your summer vacay, and there is no better way to spend the summer than by doing a road trip with the fam. Picture yourself camping under the stars, seeing beautiful American towns and cities, and having quality time together. Check out this road trip out west to get the inspiration flowing:

1. First stop: Yellowstone, Montana
Yellowstone is the perfect National Park to kick off your trip, with plenty of camping sites for the whole family and a plethora of wildlife to see, such a buffalo, elk, and hawks.

2. Second stop: The Hiawatha Trail
Right off of I-90 on the way to Washington, there is an amazing bike trail that is family friendly. It follows an old railroad path through tunnels and staggering bridges in the majestic Rocky Mountains. The trail starts downhill at a low grade, and you can even take a bus back up if riding uphill is not your thing.

3. Third stop: Leavenworth, Washington
On your way towards Seattle, hop off I-90 onto Highway 2 to take a detour through Leavenworth. Leavenworth is a fake Bavarian town in the middle of the Cascade mountains that will charm your pants off.

4. Fourth stop: Seattle, Washington
This will be your one major city stop, so make the most of it. Check out Pikes Place Market, the Space Needle, the Starbucks Roastery, and the MoPop Museum.

5. Fifth stop: Bend, Oregon
Bend is an outdoor haven that is becoming more popular by the day. With Mt. Bachelor and Smith Rocks close at hand, you can find yourself skiing, mountain biking, or climbing all in one area.

6. Sixth and final stop: Yosemite, California
There is no better place to end your road trip than in the beautiful Yosemite. Drive through the valley and imagine the glaciers slowly moving through many years ago to carve out those glorious, godly rock faces.
