How do you know the appropriate time to begin celebrating the Holiday season? When Starbucks rolls out its signature Holiday Cups and flavors. While there’s still time to get your Pumpkin Spice Latte fix in, the long-awaited and much-loved winter seasonal flavors are officially here and with that, Santa might as well be coming down the chimney tonight.

Coming to menus are the tried and true favorites, including Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, a Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, and the Eggnog Latte. All of the beverages can be ordered hot, iced or as a frozen Frap. Their food menu is also getting in the holiday spirit with new items to pair with your festive-flavored drinks including a Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, Gingerbread loaf, festively iced sugar cookies, and of course, a peppermint and snowman Cake Pop.

Perhaps most heavily anticipated of all the Starbucks holiday festivities is the design scheme for their holiday cups. A tradition that has often received odd amounts of media attention, the cups have come under fire in some years for being too favored towards Christmas, too politically correct, too progressive… the list goes on.

Though the verdict is still out on how much meaning a paper cup can really have, this year’s designs seem to hit all the right cords with everyone by opting for holiday-non-specific terms like “merry” and simple patterns that don’t lend themselves towards any overarching theme (besides just general cheer and holiday spirit).
