From red carpet glamour to a painful shoe fiasco Kylie’s Met Gala night was one for the books
Kylie Jenner might’ve turned heads on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet, but what happened after the cameras stopped rolling might just be the most unforgettable fashion moment of the night — and not in the way she intended.
The 27-year-old reality star dazzled in a custom Ferragamo ensemble, complete with a structured corset, sheer gloves, and a dramatic high-slit skirt that gave the world a peek at her long legs. But it was her £700 strappy black Ferragamo heels that would cause all the drama later in the evening.
In a hilarious and totally relatable twist, Kylie took to Instagram Stories to reveal that her fashion-forward heels had literally become a trap. After taking advice from designer Maximilian Davis to tape her feet into the shoes to prevent slipping, things went south — fast.
“Max told me to tape my feet into the shoes and now my feet are stuck in the shoes,” she exclaimed, visibly distressed and shouting “Owww!” as her team frantically tried to free her. The high-glam moment quickly turned into a scene straight out of a fashion blooper reel, as assistants sprayed her feet with water in an attempt to dissolve the tape.

Fortunately, after some good old-fashioned team effort (and probably a few panicked laughs), Kylie managed to escape the shoe trap and triumphantly shared a post of her bare, manicured feet. “They’re okay!!!!” she wrote, much to the relief of her 400+ million followers.
While Kylie was battling her couture crisis, her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet was off living his best low-key life. The Dune and Wonka star, 29, skipped the high-fashion frenzy altogether in favor of a relaxed boys’ night — complete with hoodies, French NBA commentary, and intense playoff vibes.
Posting a string of casual photos to his own Instagram Stories, Timothée looked worlds away from the red carpet as he kicked back with friends, feet up, and eyes glued to a tablet streaming the Celtics game. “This game is insane,” he wrote, clearly glued to the action — even joking that he was “sh***ing myself” from the intensity.
Their laid-back vs. glammed-up contrast perfectly sums up the dynamic between the two: Kylie, the glam queen of curated perfection, and Timmy, the artsy cool guy who’d rather watch basketball in sweats than pose for the paps.
Despite their differences, the couple seems to be going strong. Sources say they’ve set a few ground rules to keep things private, including no tagging each other on social media and no Timmy appearances on The Kardashians. Still, they’ve been spotted getting cozy at public events — most recently courtside at a Lakers game where Kylie was seen holding on tightly to her man’s arm throughout the night.
From shoe mishaps to courtside cuddles, one thing’s for sure: Kylie and Timothée are living their lives on their own terms — whether it’s duct-taped feet at the Met Gala or hoodie-covered hair on the couch.
