Homemade ‘Nutella’ Recipe
Bella Breakdown
Ah Nutella, just when you need a little more, your jar of heavenly hazelnut goodness is gone. Not to fear, now you can whip up a homemade batch yourself!
This could be trouble… or a great gift for others, if any makes it out the door.
Start by toasting all your nuts, hazelnuts, peanuts and sliced almonds either in an oven at 400 for 10-15 minutes or in a pan on M-H heat for the same amount of time. Once they’re golden brown add water to the pan and cook for another 10-15 minutes so they soften and sweeten the mixture with brown sugar and a dash of salt to season.
Once that mixture is done, pour it into a blender and puree on the highest setting for 5-10 minutes to get it as smooth as can be. Put into a large bowl and add cocoa powder, dark chocolate chips and some vanilla paste. Then, give it a good mix and put in the fridge for about an hour to set.
For a final finish give it a sprinkle of Malden salt and store in airtight containers, like an adorable gift-friendly mason jar!
