Just as fast as it started, Naomi Campbell’s romance with One Direction’s Liam Payne has ended. The 48-year-old reportedly got “bored” of the young singer and decided it was best to call it quits. However, there is no love lost between the two and they do plan on just keeping their relationship friendly.

“Liam and Naomi had a lot of fun together, they got on well and had a laugh. But it just wasn’t meant to be,” a source revealed to The Mirror. The pair sparked dating rumors early this year when the two decided to bring in the new year together.

While neither confirmed whether or not they were a couple both Campbell and Payne were reported to be having a “mind-blowing” time. The duo was spotted out in London and New York together and neither was too shy to send flirty messages via social media.

However, all good things must come to an end and according to sources the couple’s undoing may have been due to the 25-year-old’s neediness. “He was always the more keen, slightly needy one and, as far as she was concerned, they were never officially an item anyway. It’s always been very casual.”

Though Liam is single, the “Strip That Down” singer is far from alone as he has a two-year-old child, with ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole, to keep him company.
